BRIEF: The graduand Exhibition is an important event; it offers you an opportunity to publicly celebrate your achievements and showcase your work to the multimedia industry, your professional peers and to the public.
The Exhibition is the responsibility of the graduands, both as individuals and as a group, not just in terms of managing the ‘event’ but moreover creating the ‘brand’ and ‘identity’ of the MMDA Exhibition. You are required to develop a concept then design the visual ‘identity’ for the graduand Exhibition.
As in any creative/commercial endeavour you need to identify, consider and understand all issues related to the creative brief and then design factoring in the ‘stakeholders’ requirements. The stakeholders in the graduand Exhibition include: Monash University; the Faculty of Art and Design; the Department of Multimedia and Digital Art; teaching staff; and most importantly your fellow colleagues and yourself. The design needs to reflect the requirements of all the interested stakeholders.
The design needs to be flexible enough to be repurposed across different media; print, motion graphics, web and DVD.
TASKS
- Create a theme that represents the Multimedia and Digital Arts discipline.
- Suggest a title for the Exhibition.
- Develop an image or logo for the Exhibition.
- Design the Exhibition website and DVD layouts
- Design the structure of the website.
- Design the DVD cover.
DEADLINE:
Submission: 15 June
